A truly wonderful experience. The kids and I had an outting on Chestnut Ridge in Kingsport Tennessee. I ran a Tentec Corsair II at 5 watts through an MFJ 949E antenna tuner to a modified G5RV at 60 feet. I didn't hear any stations on 10 meters. Heard several stations on 15 meters but they did not hear me. 40 offered little activity but I checked it often. 20 meters was hot from beginning to end. My hat is off to ARS for great fun. I encourage the group to add other contests that are similar in nature. I look forward to the next one! |
