You can tell the GPS receiver that you want to navigate directly to a waypoint. The unit creates a route from your present position to the selected waypoint. Most GPS receivers call this GOTO or DIRECT navigation. The advantage is that you can quickly set up navigation direct to any waypoint. The disadvantages are that you can’t include multiple waypoints, and the receiver doesn’t save the route while it’s off.
