New Plans for the ARS Lab

By Russ Carpenter, AA7QU, for The ARS Lab
When we started the ARS Lab, we primarily concentrated on reviews of HF transceivers. We feel that has been a worthwhile focus, which has generated a lot of useful comparative information for low power radio equipment.

In the time that has passed, the ARRL lab has substantially increased its coverage of QRP radios. Now, we feel that the ARRL and ARS labs have started to duplicate each other's efforts. Therefore, we have decided that it is time for ARS to move to a new focus.

The Lab will now concentrate on investigating circuits, topologies, and solutions for homebrewers. We want to publish interesting investigative material that is available nowhere else. The ARS Lab will support those adventuresome spirits who would like to roll their own.
