FOBB 2002: Teaming up for the Maine Event

As No. 75 in the 2002 Flight of the Bumblebees I joined Steve ???, KD1JV, who took most of the accompanying photographs.

Photo No. 575 is a close-up showing the attack on the arms and the blots on the pants, compliments of thousands of black flies. We found out quickly that repellant didn't work.

Photo No. 577 is a longer shot showing the dense woods and ferns that surrounded our operating position. It was beautiful and smelled good, too.

Photo No. 579 shows just how dense the Maine woods can be. If you aren't on the trail, you're in trouble. We're under the dark tree in the center.
